Palm Beach north - Day 2

Awoke this morning to...QUIET!   There was no wind howling, no motorcycles revving, no leaf blowers, NOTHING!  It was awesome!  It was worth missing the sunrise by several hours.

We took the dinghy ashore to a very small beach in a small park where we ditched on the sand.

After walking what Siri said was 1 mile (but was really 2+ miles) to the post office (and a quick stop at a liquor store) we returned to find our dinghy stranded on the beach due to the low tide.  Lifting the 1000 lbs off the beach and back in the water is something I do not want to do again.

It was a good day to walk since we had cloud cover and a moderate breeze.

The weather stayed near perfect, if a little cool.  I was able to BBQ on the grill for the first time in days.  We have touched base with an electrician (to help change out poorly performing batteries) and a canvas place to replace our isinglass that is missing (to keep us dry when we sail in foul weather).  Both will meet us at the boatyard next week when we haul out.  A successful day!
