Floating Structures

The morning was stunning with little to no wind.

A leisurely dinghy ride to Peanut Island was the obvious choice for our daily goal.  Going around the inlet side of the island was possible due to mild current and little wind.  Wow is the only word to describe the floating structures that are anchored(?) on the sandbar north of the island just before Blue Heron Bridge.  Apparently there is an ongoing battle to legally remove these floating structures that have a huge potential to cause damage during storms.  Willy-nilly.  Hodgepodge.  I find it hard to believe anyone actually lives in them.

We had breakfast on the beach and a mid-morning catnap before heading back to the boat.  This was my viewpoint from our beach towels.

Arriving back at Quiet Time around noon Paul's phone was ringing.  Our fridge pieces were in!  Steve wanted to come out install.  We immediately cleared the room for him to work and Paul went and picked him up at the dinghy landing.  It is installed and cooling.  By tomorrow we should be good to transfer food from our portable freezer and make a trip to the grocery store for everything else.  And then we can start heading north to Daytona.

We had a little extra surprise tonight.  We happened to see the rocket, Falcon 9,  in the sky from Cape Canaveral.  Paul was sitting in the cockpit when the bang alerted us to something happening.  Surprise!
