Kings Neptune and Poseidon
This morning dawned cloudy with rain predicted later in the evening. Since we needed antifreeze and fresh salad supplies we decided to dinghy in and walk to the auto and grocery stores. It wound up about 4 miles round trip with increasing humidity. We found everything we needed and we even met our neighboring sailor.
No sooner did we return to the boat and haul the dinghy out of the water when the rain started. And the thunder and lightening. We had been told to put all our electronics in the microwave to protect them in case of lightening strike. We did so until we realized the storm was close but not near enough to be of concern. Paul won all the Hi Low Jack games and I beat him at cribbage. When the rain turned to drizzle we completed our goal of the day. We performed (and by we I mean Paul) a boat renaming and christening ceremony. Apparently if we do not offer thanks to the Gods of the sea, Neptune and Poseidon, our vessel will not have their protection. We need all the help we can get. (I was been born on Friday the 13th and have developed some superstitions.)
The sun arrived in time to set on another near perfect day.
