Outside storage

Cloudy, cool day with lazy under tones.  The local sailing club was busy with kids circling on their Hobie cats.  Today's main project included emptying the small bedroom of all items stacked there during our electrical refitting.  First the two huge fenders had to be deflated.

Then the front starboard locker had to be emptied and rearranged.  It is large enough to fit a large tote with all window coverings for the isinglass, (They are in perfect shape even if the isinglass is not.) an extra propane tank, 4 smaller fenders, the 2 large deflated fenders, another tote with the power cords for connecting to dock power, 2 beach chairs, a 5 gallon bucket, 2 garbage bags with blowup beach toys and my SUP (standup paddleboard).

The front port side locker contains the generator, our large spinnaker sail and a couple extra dock lines.  This one is left near empty so Paul can get to the generator.

There are two other lockers near the trampolines.  The starboard one contains all our dock lines.  The port side stores our anchor washdown hose with the water shut off.  When the anchor is pulled up it is rinsed off to prevent soil, debris and odors from entering the anchor locker.

In the cockpit there are three lockers directly under our sling.  One holds our trash until we can dispose of it (every time we go ashore we take bags).  One contains extra lines and the last holds outside scrub brushes and hoses for outside washdowns (fish debris if we ever start fishing).

Closer to the deck of the cockpit there are two more storage lockers.  The starboard side contains one of the 3 ACs, extra filters for the water maker and access to the 100 gallon water tank.  The port side contains outside cleaning solutions (vinegar the most prominent and most useful) and access to the 120 gallon gas tank.  Both the water tank and gas tank have fill ports directly behind the cockpit benches.

The final storage area outside is under the captains chair.  This holds the propane tank that supplies both the interior oven/stove and the outside grill.

We find the weekends are the best time to finish projects on the boat since the water is so busy with constant boat traffic.
