Daytona Marine Science Center

The Marine Science Center, located on Ponce Inlet, proved to be an awesome place for kids.  The touch pool included sharks, horseshoe crabs, fish and of course, stingrays.  Our arrival occurred just as the feeding started.  Brianna, at first hesitantly, eventually became brave enough to feed the tiny fish heads to the rays.  There was Pancake, Chips, Queso, Sugar and Spice!

A giant mosquito exhibit!  Ponce Inlet was formerly known as Mosquito Inlet.  A hard push from the tourism people and it was changed.  Good choice!

There was a reptile room that included multiple snake skins (gross) and live snakes.  A raptor exhibit with owls and hawks.  The bird hospital and rehab with pelicans and eagles.  Turtles, coral farming and fish everywhere.  Brianna even got to watch a turtle having his blood drawn.  Now she wants to be a turtle doctor.

The ICU had multiple tanks with injured rehabbing turtles.  My favorite name - Asiago.

They even had climbing shells.

We hiked a short distance (on a boardwalk) to an observation tower where we had our picnic lunch.

We returned to QT for a quick game of Parcheesi (after watching the manatees frolick again in the marina) before taking the kids to the airport.  Feeling blessed our best life continues as we share QT!
