Halifax River

It was an absolutely beautiful breezy 78 degree day.  A perfect day to take a dinghy ride.  We were greeted by a pair of dolphins and a grey heron.

We checked out the marina next door and the boats.  Here is my favorite named of the day!
With the tide low, we decided not to follow the river under the park bridge but stay in the channel.

What felt super small and narrow with barely room to tack and jibe QT (Quiet Time), the dinghy made us feel small and vulnerable.
Bloopers of the day:  the 2nd drain plug was not in the dinghy and she was very full of water in the inner hull upon arrival back at Quiet Time.  And then I torched dinner.  Black charcoaled burgers.  Ah well.  Best life is not perfect but fun and memorable.
