Old Salt Park

After installing our new (tiny) TV in the bedroom, we spent the day exploring the coast north of Flagler.  This is Old Salt Park, a tiny parking lot hidden behind a golf course and very tall condos.  A few people with only a handful attempting to swim among the rocks.

Our next stop was Matanzas Inlet.  There was only one other person (and his 2 dogs) on this beautiful stretch of pristine sand with the stilt houses.  I'm not even sure the houses are occupied but what a view they must have so high up (until it storms anyway)!

Crescent Beach was next with a few people and white sand that felt like baby powder.  Crazy how the sand from these 3 spots were so different.  From red with shards of broken shells to tan with the occasional shell to soft white.  All within a few miles of each other.

Our last stop was the coastal Hammock Trail that we happened upon by chance while searching for restrooms.  It was my kind of nature trail - a boardwalk that kept my flip flops off the ground where the creepy crawly things move.

Almost 10,000 steps later we returned to QT for dinner and a movie.  Another day to give thanks for our best life!
