Clapboard Creek
These are our resident pelicans who hung out right across from our boat all morning. The island is called Sisters Island so I prefer to think they are sisters!
Before the heat of the day (mid 80s and humid) we decided to take a dinghy ride and explore the area. Clapboard creek runs between Sisters Island and Shell Island.
When we returned (1130am) all the boats tied to the dock except two had left to resume their trips. By 230pm the dock was chock full again. We even moved our boat to make room for the last one to squeeze in (and I do mean squeeze!). This photo is from me sitting at the table inside - looks like they are sitting on my swing!
And this is our front yard neighbor. All very nice people and the boys bonded while flexing pulling everyone in and tying them off! Everyone has a story and advice. And everyone checks out everyone's boats. Some even have "boat cards". It looks like a business card with a picture of their boat, names and contact information. Who knew?
We are loving this dock with water, views and best of all - the current is on our nose and we do not swing every 12 hours!
