Jacksonville

The plan this morning was the beach after a trip to a nearby plantation.  I finished the laundry early and it was hanging out when the rain started.  Then the wind picked up and severe thunderstorm watch emerged.  Lightning struck the tower just next to the USS Orleck, our neighbor.  TWICE!  Our neighbor in front of us (who is out of town) had his dinghy start sinking.  Another neighbor and the marina crew saved the dinghy.  The kids got to experience the howling wind and rocking white caps while QT sat on the dock.

Plan B.  We went bowling.  But who knew that the senior league would be in session.  But we got our lane and played a couple games in the neon dark.  Scott kicked our butts.

Lunch at a seafood restaurant in the cute downtown area and onto mini golf.  The storm had passed at the point and it was a steamy 90 degrees again.

Scott beat us all.  Again.

A late supper, a game of Continental and the kids have gone to bed.  All that winning must be tiring!
