Jekyll Island

Another beautiful, calm morning/  We headed out early before the world awakened (including the nasty horse flies!).  It is still strange that after the heavy boat traffic in the Ft Lauderdale and Daytona areas, that we now see so few boats.

Cumberland Island was to our east and reminded me of the Maine coast.
St Andrew sound was quite peaceful.

We arrived just before noon and after feeling comfortable the anchor was set, we headed out in the dinghy.

The walk to the beach village was just over a mile.  We found bug spray (We never thought to bring any!) and postcards and ice cold drinks!  Although only 82 degrees today, the humidity is in the 70s.

A quick walk on the beach.

A dinghy ride to shark tooth beach.  Where I found nothing resembling a shark's tooth.

A sunset, a movie, a glass of wine and I am ready to call it a night.
