Sisters Creek

We left early this morning with the tide and motored back to Sisters Creek.  Which, by the way, is not named after two sisters (or more) but named for the two hardwood hammocks on either side of the creek.  A hardwood hammock being the forest habitat higher in elevation than the surrounding area.  Who knew?

Since it was only about 20 miles we arrived before noon and picked a prime spot on the free dock.  Which left quite a bit of time on our hands.

Reading, making appointments for our return to RI in September and of course a quiet time nap.  Drawing, painting, finalizing tomorrow's sail plan, cold showers (90s again) and a BBQ dinner.  Watching the laughing gulls catch their dinner and watching the sunset.  We managed to fill our time.

And I had time to reminisce and peruse photos from our adventure to this point.  What I found is a penchant for the macabre.  Check it out.

Tomorrow we continue our journey north into new waters for us!
