USS Orleck/Pete's Sweets

We visited our neighbor, USS Orleck, this morning as soon as they opened.  With high temps predicted to be in the mid 90s, early was best.  What a well thought out museum of a ship that was named after a true hero.  Orleck, who saved many lives, is truly honored with the work the staff of this museum has put forth.  The staff was very knowledgeable and talkative.

After lunch on Quiet Time, Rebecca booked us for a chocolate factory tour at Pete's Sweets.  What a cute place with enchanting decorations.  The tour guide was a bit overly enthusiastic but we did learn a lot about chocolate and "pulling" candy.

A delightful day despite the high temp (96) and high humidity (86).  We learned to play Phase 10 without a board and we continue to teach Rebecca High Low Jack.
