1000 Miles

Lincoln, Rhode Island to Thunderbolt, Georgia

Leaving at 3:30am we arrived back in Georgia just about 10pm.  We found traffic in New York and Washington (expected as we hit the same on the trip north) which added 2 ½ hours to our trip.  We minimized our stops and snacked from the cooler.  Still, getting gas and taking quick breaks added another hour.  However, humor was found at one of our stops.

Kudos to them for taking a stand!  Wish they took the time to fix the men's room so we didn't have to share the women's!

So, it prompts the blog for today.  Funny signs and sayings I have come across (and was quick enough with the camera).  And of note, all photos for the next few weeks, until we are back in Rhode Island, will be from my phone camera.  Because in the chaos of our quick weekend, I left my Canon in the rental car when we returned it to Green Airport on Friday.  Ugh!  Thankfully, after a phone call to the car rental and filling out a form and waiting for a return email, they have the camera and we have a pickup date scheduled.

Hopefully not a drive-thru.

Why work for a living?  Use what God gave you.  And from the comfort of your own home!

Found in Florida but I feel it would be true anywhere!

Yup.  Keeping up with the Jonses' and trying to be a part of the tour route.

Long walks work just as well.

The poor bartender who hears the stories at this bar!

Reminds me of when staff would call in sick and try to give me a good explanation.

Okay, several people come to mind but, we all show crazy occasionally.

Lisa and Lisa is who I want to haunt people with!  Similar sick sense of humor!  One of which has been stalking me for years anyway so will probably be stalking me on the other side!

Jumped on and knocked over should be added.

We cannot always wear sunglasses to hide the roll.  And some of us cannot maintain a poker face ever!

Again, I thought of work.  Mr Rogers would have needed therapy after walking through that neighborhood and trying to play in their sandbox.

I heard my mother and now my kids hear me!  And when I hear me I am proud and terrified at that same time!

Not a fan of squirrels (chipmunks either) but have-a-heart trap seems too kind for that attitude.

You know that one person in class or at work that holds everything up with a question that either makes no sense or was already answered.  Or the story that goes on and on with no point?  And is just talking to hear themselves?

Kind of funny since if you went to a bar at 10am you would be judged.

I am not sure I could eat at a restaurant that was named Off The Lip.  Seems like the Department of Health would have an issue too.

This was actually a great boat thrift store with anything and everything boat related.

How do people think of these things?

Everyone has  a superpower!
Anyway, this allowed me to smile at the silliness of people to sell products after a very long day in the car.  We are back on the boat tonight.  The AC is cranking and the interior temp went from 104 to 85 in the hour since arriving.  Oh and we could not remember the security code and had to answer 52 questions by security to obtain access to the marina!  (Maybe not 52 but when you're tired, it seemed like that many.)  Tomorrow we start the long to do list to close the boat for the next 4 months.

The end!
