May River, South Carolina

Walking around on the deck of Quiet Time while she is up on blocks and stands on concrete is disconcerting.  I am way more comfortable with the boat gently rocking on the water.

We spent a quick couple hours covering the dinghy to prevent sun damage, spreading damp rid in buckets throughout the cabins, securing nav covers and lockers.

We also taped over our one leaky window. :(

The dehumidifier seems to be running and draining perfectly.  Placed in the kitchen sink, it drains onto the concrete below.

Done by 10am we started our journey north.  We chose back roads and enjoyed the less traveled immensely.  Brick is everywhere!

Containers and trucks are also everywhere.  So much stuff being moved from here to there and everywhere!

Our last stop in Georgia was at Houlihan boat ramp.  We had a picnic lunch (Meatloaf sandwich for Paul and the last of engagement party salad for me!  Thank you Isis!).  The rain threatened but held off until we entered South Carolina.

What a great idea!  No one goes without a life jacket including kids!

Onto South Carolina.  What a cute little town, Bluffton turned out to be!  Although the storm was close we ventured to the May River to check it out and stretch our legs.

Leaving painted rocks at Wright Family Park has been a tradition since 2022.  Super cute!

Alljoy Point landing was also worth a stop on the May River and dodging rain drops.
