Thunderbolt Marina

The sun came up this morning burning!  So hot first thing!  While watching the morning dolphin show I started melting.  Too drama?  I know.  Check in at the marina was 1pm.  By the time we pulled up anchor, the feel like temp was 95 degrees.

And guess who came to say goodbye!  Fred!  It took him a few days to find us and then we left him behind again.

Thunderbolt is located in a narrow corner of the river making the current crazy strong.  We timed our arrival during slack tide and Paul parked Quiet Time perfectly.  I really like our spot on the outer edge of the marina basin.  I can glance out the window and see the rushing water.  I am hoping the dolphins fish here.

Greg, the dockmaster, was super helpful getting us settled.  We submitted our work orders for the outboard on the dinghy and the electrician will be out in the morning for the AIS issues.  The facilities are spacious, clean with lots of hang out areas.

I managed two batches of laundry, we took the trash out and we sat through a fierce thunderstorm!

We also claimed all our Amazon packages.

It was like Christmas morning!  Happy with everything (including the unmentionables).  The only thing we did not open was the bean bag chair.  The rain.  Tomorrow is soon enough.

The best part of being in a marina?  In Georgia in June?  The fact that we can run the air conditioners!  The rain helped some but the humidity is still so high.  We will sleep well tonight!
