Mountain Views

A slow start but worth the wait.  It was almost 50 degrees when Maddie and I set out!  A beautiful way to start the day with a walk/run.  Today we headed up the street toward town just to change things up (and get my heart pumping immediately up the steep hill!).

Paul continued working on the bathroom closet doors and trim while I continued cleaning and purging.  Today's word of the day is chockablock.  Hah!  Means something that is very full or tightly packed.  My goal is the only chockablock item is the donate bags!  There are two places to donate items here in Rangeley.  The first is at the town transfer station.  Known as "Rangeley's Walmart", clean, unbroken items are left in a garage and everything is up for grabs on a first come basis.  I used to drop stuff here all the time until I saw two of my donated items up for sale in an antique store in Farmington!

The second place to donate is the Church of the Good Shepherd on Main Street.  The basement of the church is open Friday and Saturday mornings and donated goods are sold reasonably (I have never seen anything more than $10, most clothes are $1).  This is where I donate although the bags pile up since I can usually only drop off weekly.

In honor of Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance, Rangeley Fire Department positioned there engine at the edge of town at the scenic overlook.  Awesome sight!
