To Winnow is Fun!

As I continue to winnow (word of the day - to remove what is not wanted), I came across my yearbooks from high school.  Boring.  Same few faces on many pages.  Maybe because I found high school boring?  Because I had way more fun being outside and traveling around the state.

And I came across the yearbooks for Central High School.  The yearbooks belonging to Pop and Ma (maternal grandparents).  Way more interesting.

Every student had a short paragraph about who they were and their ambitions.  (In my yearbooks there were a lot of quotes by bands and a lot of "Mary & John 4ever".  Seriously.  Love the Classical High descriptions better.

Classical had essays written by students about being Good Samaritans and an essay "The Art of Being Well Groomed".  They also had a girls rifle club and a thrift club (with so many members they had to have a morning and an afternoon session).  All made for interesting reading!

Other photos I came across:
I believe these are rain bonnets my older
brother and I were wearing backwards?  Look
how calm Pop is while we try to suffocate ourselves!

Okay, technically not a photo but a keep box item.
Scott was thankful for: A family that cares about me
and loves me, a lot of pets that are pretty, having a
house in Maine and having a house that stands very well!

My christening day with my godparents -
Aunty Joyce and Uncle Bernie!  (We all look so young!)

We did accomplish some tasks.  While I winnowed, Paul sanded the remaining bathroom walls.  While I painted the walls, Paul fixed the snowmobile trailer tire.  Of course the toilet had to come out to get the wall behind, causing us to use the backyard woods all day!  Again, glad there are no close neighbors!

I also gave the vanity a quick sand and paint.
(Cheapest vanity that would work for us - $1000 - not happening!)

Trailer is now all set for another season.

The weather was awesome.  I started washing blankets and hanging them on the dog run in the crisp fall air.  Best smell ever!
