Play hard, Work hard

On this day in 2022, Paul and I took Brianna to Oquossoc.  The playground is a favorite destination for the kids to run around and expend energy.  The goal = a long night's sleep!

The original playground was a bit sketchy!  The slide while fast and slippery, was really high and the metal was super hot in the summer.  Alas, it has been replaced with a more modern (and safer) slide.

Today we knocked off many to do items on our list.  Brand new smoke detectors installed, back door readjusted (no more draft and it closes better), 2 coats of paint on the shower shelf and Calitri sign for the door, last bed remade, floor trim installed, chair swing taken down and stored (too cold to read outside), wood ring refilled and Paul made multiple phone calls to marinas.   I also spent time reading (John Sanford) and painting with watercolors.

Our preferred marina has hurricane damage and cannot accommodate us in December.  Ugh.  We are on waiting lists and waiting for emails to be read and applications to be read.  Fingers crossed we find something so we can come back to RI for the holidays.

Today is Sewing Lovers' Day which is ironic since I spent part of my morning sewing the dog's bed.   And I straightened out my sewing box (how do all those spools unwind and get tangled?).
