Rangeley Finale

A very strange last day here in Rangeley.  It was cold (35) this morning and it snowed!  Nothing accumulated but exciting nonetheless.

The sun eventually came out but the temp never went over 40.  It made our outside tasks a little numbing.  But everything is done.  Clothesline has been pulled down (Should the kids ride snowmobiles through the yard they won't be "clotheslined"!), the grill is stored in the garage, the screens are back in place, basement window covered (Snow always tries to seep in from the back deck), all project tools and materials have been put away, basement decluttered (should a snowmobile need to be pulled in for repair), the furniture dusted and floors washed.

We have been in contact with Captain Trent who will work with us from Savannah to ???.  We have a potential lead on a marina (fingers and toes crossed!).  The rudder and bottom job on the boat are being completed.  We have been in touch with our insurance agent and are cleared for the Bahamas!  Warmer weather here we come!

This day in 2015:

And in 2021 on this day we were leaving the boat show in Annapolis Maryland and headed north back to RI.

Doesn't she look like a huge stuffed animal!  Too cute!

We took a lot of back roads that I find way more interesting.
Looks like part of the movie set from Twister.

                                                        Sunset on Chesapeake Bay.

I have loved our time here in Rangeley and will miss the quiet, the wonderful clean air and of course Trivia night at Sarge's (last chance tonight to redeem ourselves!).  Tomorrow we head back to RI after closing the house and will not return until next summer sometime.  Bittersweet.  Onto the other half of our best life - Quiet Time!
