Alascattalo Day
Alascattalo Day. Honoring Alaskan humor and named for a fictitious animal that is a cross between a moose and a walrus. An animal that was bred during the Gold Rush by the miners. Created as a response to a stupid tourist question.
Here are some of the animals we came across during our trip to Alaska. There were no Alascattalos!
I don't know who he thought he was kidding by pretending to be a bush! unable to catch one with his bare hands!

a moose with a skin condition,

So many memories in so many places.
We heard from our project manager Lars today. The break where the water was breaching our boat should be completed by Friday. The plan is to put her in the water on Monday and if the fix is complete, then repair the hole they cut in the fiberglass. By leaving the boat and returning to RI, I hope they are taking their time and doing the job right.
