Cloudy

 

Today is Abet and Aid Punsters Day.  Celebrating the art of puns and play on words.  

The definition of cloudy - covered over by clouds; causing or marked by an atmosphere lacking in cheer.  A perfect word for me to pun.  

The clouds and sunset were beautiful as we headed from Savannah to Daytona by CAR.  Cloudy is the atmosphere that permeated the marina today.  

After another attempt to return Quiet Time to the water, water continued to drip into the boat from her wound.  Because of the location of the break and the inability of the fiberglass staff to see exactly what they were repairing, the decision has been made to cut her open.  This will allow them access to the break and repair it completely.  Except it is Friday before a long weekend.  Nothing will be attempted before Tuesday.  I called it quits and we are headed for RI.  Changing hotel rooms every night, eating out for more meals than I care to and our rental car expiring tomorrow all helped make the decision easier.

But first we are headed to Daytona to get our old car for the long ride home.  We are going to enjoy the weekend, visit friends on our ride and return to Savannah after Thanksgiving.  Our captain has graciously agreed to wait until we return.  Our deposit for dockshare in Stuart will hopefully give us a refund.  

It also happens to be Ample Time Day.  Setting priorities with lists and avoiding distractions while simplifying and taking care of ourselves.  This is exactly what I plan to do instead of sitting around Savannah waiting for others to do their job.  I'm coming home!
