Ensenada and Puerto Rico

World Toilet Day!  I should have had a job like this - coming up with random and ridiculous holidays.  Anyway, in my traveling I have come across many toilets.

Funniest - In Ensenada, Mexico, at a bar right on the ocean, I came across the funniest bathroom!  I went in, chose a stall and sat down to do my business.  My knees were touching the stall door and when I glanced up I had to start laughing.  I was looking at myself in the mirror above the handwashing station!  Yes I am tall but the bathroom was set up for midgets apparently.

The view from the back patio of the bar.

With Christmas around the corner, even Santa was relaxing!

It was super homey and warm.  Everyone was very welcoming
and tolerated my "muy poquito Espanol".

Today is also Discovery of Puerto Rico Day.  This has been a favorite destination of  mine for years!  Quaint with a lot of history we have always found new areas to explore.  They also tolerate my limited Spanish!
                                            Castillo San Cristobal

Luquillo Beach.  Warm water and stunning scenery.

El Yunque National Forest.  A very, very long hike.  That was the trip I sprained my ankle and could not wear sneakers due to the swelling.  There was no way I was missing the hike though.

I deserve a bumper sticker that says "You can't scare me, I've driven in Puerto Rico!"  Anything goes there.  Car dies?  Put it up on cement blocks until you fix it.  Horses with no directionals.  Speed bumps with no warnings.  Drivers have the gas pedal either on the floor or the brake pedal on the floor.  No inbetween.

Today we traveled back from Rangeley to Lincoln.  We are well rested and looking forward to being with family and friends.
