Happy Birthday Maddy!

Happy Birthday Maddy!  From the moment you entered our lives, you stole our hearts.  Watching you laugh, smile and grow up has been a joy (pun intended).   So many memories - from your first bath to your first visit from the tooth fairy to swimming in the pool, Maine, and with manatees.  Always up for a new adventure - keep trying new things!

Happy 17th!

Paul and I arrived at the boat yard just as the sun was coming up this morning.

Calm water and no wind we were ready to splash!  The drizzle started after dropping the car off at our new "spot" near the dock.  It proceeded to rain intermittently as we were hauled towards the water.  Once on the boat, we were lowered to the water.  A team member was on board to ensure all went well.   It didn't.  We had a new leak at the sight of the break when they dropped the boat.  They had to haul us back out.  Ugh!

Here they are trying to decide where to "block" us since the boat behind us was next to go in the water.

And this is where they "blocked" us - next to a megayacht.

They worked on the problem all day and expect to be finished tomorrow.  I am not holding my breath.  We spoke with our new captain today and exchanged information and will continue to finalize a sail plan.  Monday is our tentative sail date.  (I am no longer crossing fingers).
