Rockhouse Creek, New Smyrna Beach, Florida

St Augustine 's sunrise did not disappoint.  And it was warm!  We woke to 59 degrees!  There was a mass exit of sailboats from the marina.  We wound up 5th in line traveling south on the ICW.  Not for long though.  We passed everyone knowing we had 40+ NM (nautical miles) to travel today.

We struggled to maintain 6 knots since we were against the tide and the wind was on our bow.  There were plenty of marshes, mud, herons and egrets.  A few dolphins but few pictures since I drove a significant part of the trip so Paul could change the oil in the engines.  I alternated engines since which ever one Paul was servicing had to be turned off.

We anchored shy of our original planned anchorage.  Just west of Ponce Inlet we anchored in Rockhouse Creek.  65 NM!!!  Beautiful sunset.  And it is still 65 degrees at 10pm!  I have been barefoot since hitting Flagler Beach.  My feet are happy again.

Today is International Day of Veterinary Medicine.  Thank you to all vets but especially Megan!

And it is National Llama Day.  What's not to love.
