Stuart Parks

Tonight we are sleeping on the boat.  Dave, our host, has agreed for the one night (we have a contract that we will not "live aboard").

Today we dropped off our mainsail for repair, picked up a few items for simple repairs and cleaned the interior of the boat.  The fridge and freezer will be almost completely empty and everything outside will be fastened down tomorrow morning.  I am enjoying being in shorts and a tee shirt and my feet are happy with no shoes.

The afternoon was spent exploring the town of Stuart.  Way bigger than I would have thought, it has lots of parks, speed tables (their version of the speed bump) and touristy shops.

Paul drove Quiet Time under this bridge yesterday to arrive our our current dock.  Although it seems super windy walking along the edge, the gusts were more severe yesterday.  Kudos to Paul for maneuvering the boat through the three bridges at this intersection and avoiding barges and fishing boats.

And these train tracks are open unless, as seen here, a train is passing through.

The boardwalk loop was just over 2 miles with few people in the cooler temps and high winds.

Tonight we are enjoying a Christmas movie and chilling.

The plan - finishing closing the boat in the morning for the month we will be in RI and lollygag to the airport.  Prepare ourselves for colder weather and look forward to the holidays.
