Daytona, Florida

After dawdling from Stuart to Daytona via back roads we meandered to Caribbean Jack's for dessert.  (There seems to be no rush to go anywhere fast these days as we wait and wait.)

The cheesecake was delicious and reasonable.  The brownie was insanely huge.  Needless to say, Paul saved half for tomorrow!

Paul continued to try locating the pistons for our engine this morning while I packed clothes and food for heading to Daytona.  Emptied the fridge and the trash and hopefully took what we need for the next "week".

No luck with pistons but our insurance is all set for hurricane season.  The boat will sit in St. Augustine.   It's good knowing our end plan.

The ride across Florida by back roads was quite the experience.  Some of the roads had no cars or people for miles but plenty of cows, horses and even wild pigs!

Check out this super tiny blue bird!   She was fast and hard
to catch but really pretty!  Probably the size of my thumb.

These cattle have their own egrets called cattle egrets.
They eat the ticks and flies.  Who knew?

Arriving in Daytona just after sunset we managed to meet Don's new neighbors!

I'm naming them Raquel and Rocky!

The plan - no plan.  We have plans to meet friends, walk the beach and maybe a bike ride (just not near sketchy park!).  Continue the piston search.  Primary though - chill!
