Sickler Park
The day began stormy with periods of intense rain. Okay with me since we had so many errands to complete. Staples - for the copies of insurance and yacht papers for the Bahamas check in process. Walmart - for fresh fruit and veggies and protein. Donation - to drop off the "painting" clothes I bought months ago and are no longer required! Liquor store - to replenish the house stock. Bank - because most venues in the Bahamas require cash. The marina - to drop off the used oil from the boat into their recycle barrels.
And then the sun showed up ! We stopped at Sickler Park on the way back to the house. Still pretty despite extensive hurricane damage to the seawall and dock.
The best part of my day - making real plans. This next weekend we are headed to Crystal River on the west coast of Florida. Jack can finish the last details without us. We are going snorkeling with the manatees! (And searching for the infamous swamp man!)
And I have started researching marinas and anchorages and things to do in the Grand Bahamas and the surrounding islands. Exciting things to come!
