What's in a Name?
Another strange kind of day. The clouds dropped buckets of rain intermittently. Being outside wasn't really an option. Paul worked on setting up his new phone while I played with my new "toy".
On the boat there are solar hatch fans that Paul installed last year. Since the reviews were iffy, Paul purchased the warranty. Well they died. Paul received the refund and intends to fix the fans himself. Meanwhile, I used the monies to buy a GoPro.
Pictures while bike riding will be better and I can take underwater pictures (as soon as the water warms or we make it to the Bahamas). The morning was well spent setting it up and learning about all the accessories. I am excited to start using it!
Today is Discover What Your Name Means Day. I also figured I would see what the research says about one's personality associated with one's name. And of course what one's birthday says about one's personality. And because it felt like a rainy day activity, I dug out elementary school pictures of us. (I will need to hunt down ones for the "outlaws".)
Kristina - follower of Christ, bearer of his message; creative; stubborn, cautious, works hard
I was so happy to be wearing "grownup"Paul - humble; intelligent, hardworking, ambitious; excels as student and teacher
Double breasted coat and a hankie!Scott - wanderer; quick, analytical, clever; driven , completely committed to goals
TJ (Thomas) - twin; strength, courage, faith; sensitive nature hides a sparkling personality
Isis - queen of the throne; goddess of protection; a great will to succeed
Rebecca - to bind; strength, stability, commitment; confident and competitive
Brianna - noble, exalted; leadership and assertiveness; talkative, outgoing, takes life as it comes
I know you can read into any meaning but kind of funny when certain traits pop up with the kids. With each description I can see their personalities perfectly.
When I was choosing names for the kids I never looked at meanings. I knew I wanted short names with that sounded strong and silly nicknames could be avoided. I would like to think I chose wisely.
