Good night/Goodbye Stuart
This morning we filled our fuel and water tanks - Paul did an awesome job pulling against the dock in the wind. I, on the other hand, struggled to regrab the mooring ball upon return to our "spot" in the Pocket. Wind makes everything a bigger challenge and humbles even the most mundane tasks on the boat. Another 3 mile walk back to CVS (I thought Dramamine might be a good idea) was not as comfortable with spitting rain and nothing new to see. And the boat is clean - love my new vacuum!
The wind has quieted for the moment and we are enjoying the absence of howling - course we can now hear the dog barking in one of the yards (pretty much nonstop, how can he have any sound left?). BBQ chicken tonight on the grill (no wind to extinguish).
I gave Paul a haircut. We played Cribbage. Another new book. Yup - time to move on!
Our temporary cruising permit has been printed and just waiting for our arrival (and of course $$$). There is not much more we can do to prepare.
The plan - leave ASAP (ha!)
Full moon rising over Manatee Pocket.
