Tranquility
Another slow and lazy day with a beautiful breeze and lots of sun. Coffee in the jacuzzi is a perfect early morning activity, before both the water and the sun become too hot (and the rest of the resort awakens). Goodbye and safe travels to Janet and Scott and hope we meet again. Paul will have to find a new dance partner and I, a new Gully Wash partner!
Cribbage on the high tops is a bit of a challenge with the wind but worth it.
Paul did a little plumbing (tightened clamps that were letting smells leak!). And with intentions to rent a car this week Paul focused on figuring out how not to get lost. A portable GPS and google maps and we are good to go! Oh how I have taken the ease of traveling lightly and assume Waze will just work! The island may be only 95 miles long and 15 miles wide but since we will be driving on the left side of the road, we don't need to be lost too!
I prioritized my "Things to See and Do" list, read a little and we listened to the Red Sox. Saturday is in full swing here at the marina with great people watching, kids and more kids splashing in the pool and music suited for the Bahamas! We have the best seat in the house on our "backyard" swing.
The word of the day: sailor
And the sign of the day:
Hard to believe we have already been here a week yet we are comfortable with our neighbors and the staff have been super friendly and helpful. Definitely glad we landed here! And definitely worth all the painful delays and mishaps.
