Dinghy Exploration

It finally rained.  Tomorrow we will have been here 3 weeks and last night it rained for the first time.  Today was cloudy with occasional drizzle and much cooler temps.  And as I type, it is pouring again.  We were ready for a quieter day.  After trying a new bread recipe (that required kneading every 30 minutes for 2 hours), we headed out in the dinghy to check out the "neighborhood".  Quite a bit of variety.

                                                    McMansions with yachts.

                                            Fixer uppers.

Sunken boats (some visible, some totally submerged).

                                                        Some started and never finished.

                                                            Some being repaired.

Some "cul-de-sacs" only had boat debris.

The canal opening to the ocean .  We went close but due to
winds and high waves, circled back.

                                                Burned out condos. :(

                                                Tons of jellyfish!

                                                        Cute puppies!

The big blue dot is us on the dock at Ocean Reef Marina.  The umbrella in the blue circle is Coral Beach.  Island Seas Resort is near where the bonfire was last night.  The canal leads to the big blue ocean.  We explored all the little "fingers" for more than 2 hours.  It was the perfect day for exploring with no blazing hot sun.
