Quiet Day
Busy morning and lazy afternoon. This morning we defrosted the large freezer. Ice had built up so much, air flow to the fridge was blocked and started becoming warm. Last night I shoved frozen water bottles in the fridge to keep everything cold and we took the hair dryer to the freezer early this morning. Thankfully there is not a lot of frozen foods left and I was able to transfer to our smaller portable freezer during the process.
We took our completed written scuba tests to Melinda, had our photos taken and received our Scuba Diving International cards!
Justin is now booked to scrub the bottom of Quiet Time on Sunday. Though the water is so much cleaner here than Florida, there is still enough growth to warrant a good scrub job!
I started another batch of sourdough bread. I have been experimenting with different recipes and today's required "pulling" every 30 minutes for a couple hours. It is presently in the fridge and will be baked in the morning.
We have also started looking at anchorages and marinas back in Florida. Though we have booked another week here at Ocean Reef, if the weather looks good mid to late next week, we will cross back. It has been slowly getting more hot and humid here with fewer and fewer people. In addition, we would like to avoid the afternoon thunderstorms in Florida and meander north along the ICW in the mornings only. Our end point is St Augustine for hurricane season. Neither one of us has any interest going more north where we will be cold come January!
Then a few hours by the pool playing cribbage, swimming, mixing with the other guests and playing pool. Paul seems to have improved and wins every game. I can now at least hit the balls and occasionally get one in a pocket. I much prefer Foosball but no one here can find the ball!
