Daytona Tortugas

A beautiful night to go to a ball game.  The Daytona Tortugas, Cincinnati Red Single A affiliate, have their ball field right on Beach Street.  Despite their losing it was a nice game with more people than I would have thought.  Friendly people, good food, clean bathrooms and relatively short concession lines.  Parking was easy and free!

Being there brought back memories of all the hours we spent on ball fields as parents.  Every minute was enjoyed and treasured!

I think the bat weighed more than Megan!

                                                    Kevin

                                                    Scott

We started the day with a bike ride to the post office then Ormond.  Not too hot though the breeze was tropical.  There were no people or cars out that early which made for easy street crossing.

Before the afternoon showers Paul was able to change out the new cockpit screws and later install the new cushions.  Sadly one of them needs to go back since the snaps are on the wrong side.

                                                                Old snaps

New snaps - way easier - they just turn

                                                Old cushions, disintegrated and scratchy

                                               The cockpit with no cushions

                                                        New cushions!
