Ormond Beach

We took the afternoon off and went to the beach!  Originally I thought to do a sunset stroll but the weather decided to play havoc with our plans.  So, we took off during our usual quiet time and enjoyed the salt and sand.

We walked about 2 miles, I "swam" and we sat as long as we could and managed to return to the boat just as the storms rolled through the area.

Both toilets are finally, totally complete!  All valves are changed and we can now flush with no worries.  And when we are in the ocean we can dump easily!  Paul has the best supply of O rings ever!

Stainless steel backsplash has been installed behind the stove.  Lats year we had tried a plastic board that warped and melted when the stove top heated up.

                                                                    Before

                                                                                After

I also began the polishing of all our stainless steel lifelines, cleats and rigging.  I was doing great until the clouds disappeared.  Too hot in the direct sun.  So I will wait for clouds or early morning.  This is not a one time chore but needs to be done incrementally all season.  Last year I paid someone - not anymore!  I managed to complete maybe 60%.

The last overhead cockpit light has been installed.  Now they all match and work great!
