Blessed
Tonight I am starting with the ending. A stunning sunset that really reminds me of how every day and night is special. That I am blessed to be able to paint, dig, sweat, swim and enjoy each and every moment!
Today's goal for me was to return the previous vegetable garden at Megan's back to lawn. The hostas at the right of the photo are being moved to the concrete edge of the pool and everything leveled. We unfortunately began our day later than intended (930am). I was feeling good and enjoying digging instead of painting. My first break came 25 minutes into the task. (How smart was I to put the old garden directly in the sun?) A break to drink, cool off, hang out a batch of laundry and then I was back at it. This time I lasted 20 minutes in the sun and before heading into the shade for water and a break. The last stint - 15 minutes. I was done for the day! I managed almost half. Tomorrow is another day. The pool was calling! (Good job with the pool TJ - pool perfect!)
Meanwhile Paul worked on building an extension to their chicken coup. The frame is assembled and we painted it before we left for the day. It should be big enough for the birds to wander and Brianna to crawl in and visit them!
The plan - an EARLY start before the extreme heat of the day, finish the garden removal and chicken coop extension.
