Lincoln, RI

Mass this morning at St Joseph's with visiting Fr Hunt, was a blast from the past.  He was the priest at the parish while the kids were growing up, making the First Communion and Confirmation.  Father Charlie is enjoying some well deserved time off.

We have visited many different churches in our travels, some inspirational, others not so much, but we do look forward to mass here in Lincoln.  Of course with Scott (and Rebecca this morning) joining us it means even more.  And breakfast afterwards is nice too!

My Mother's Day flowers are still going strong, beautiful and fragrant.

The push to finish the basement had us down there most of the day.  The interior walls are finished.

And yes, Maddie kept us company and entertained us while we worked!

I also gave the "toy" shelf a coat of paint and Paul will refasten to the wall tomorrow.

Thankfully the trash goes out tomorrow night.  I needed to research the max amount Lincoln will collect every week - 12 bags.  Broken furniture, scraps of wood and other debris that has collected for many years.  And a second recycling bin is being delivered this week.  So many boxes, junk mail and a filing cabinet with stuff dating back to 1967.
