Ordinary

Today we did very little.  No project is ready to be started so I thought going to yard sales would be an okay way to spend the cloudy, damp morning.  Since we made the decision to sell/give away almost everything our motto became, "Will it fit on the boat?"  This makes yard saling a little easier but I still enjoy the hunt.  Meeting people and finding things we did not know we needed - priceless.  (As long as it fits on the boat or someone else's house!)  We had a great time and even found a brand new package of stair treads for Maine.

A quick nap at Megan's - no one was home and no one had any jobs for us today.  Yummy lasagna by Mo (Isis' grandmother) and drinks by the fire with Don and Kim.  A total ordinary and simple day - just what I needed.

Today is National Paul Day.  When I met Paul at Newport Creamery as an 18 year old, I never could have imagined this life.  Did he make me laugh?  Yes.  Did we enjoy the same things?  Yes.  Did we have the same family values?  Yes.  Did we talk about retiring on a sailboat?  No.  Did we talk about fears?  Never.  Did we imagine grown children and grandchildren?  Nope.  Yet here we are doing things we never could have imagined and living our best life!  Thank you Paul!
