Magic Wings

Today we fulfilled Brianna's Christmas gift.  We had given her a ticket to Magic Wings in South Deerfield, Mass.  A bit of a ride but well worth it.

There's so much more than butterflies.  The front room has dozens of habitats for frogs, lizards and beetles.
                                                            Goliath Beetle

                                                        Hercules Beetle

                                                        Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches

The conservatory itself is a maze of paths with hundreds of plants, feeders and habitats for even more lizards, geckos, koi ponds, tortoises and even a parrot.

One decided to hang out on Paul's head for a bit.

Buttonquail - super cute and good for bug control.

Bri tried so hard to stand still and let the butterflies land on her.  Some came close but unfortunately none actually landed.

A picnic lunch at a nearby park where Bri entertained us with gymnastics.  She managed 20 cartwheels in a row, a one handed round-off and several attempts at a wrong handed one hand cartwheel.

Merry Christmas Brianna!
