Maine to RI

Traveling south from Maine on a Wednesday - awesome.  There was no traffic!  A bit of construction (okay more than a fair share) but we seemed to time all the one lane roads perfectly.  Home in less than 5 hours with two stops - not bad!

Brianna, our project manager, made many miles fly by.  Our phone conference was almost an hour long and we have homework.  There are soooo many decisions to be made.  Garage doors - roll up or track?  The man door - window or no window?  Where to place the windows?  How many doors?  How tall?  How wide?  What amount of snow load?  What snow load is required in Dallas Plantation?  How much overhang?  Colors?  Insulation?  Vapor barrier?  Critter and dust barriers?  Will there be heavy ceiling fixtures?  What is the water mitigation?  On and on and on.  So Paul is presently drawing up our ideas and we will reconnect with Brianna in the morning.

Meanwhile, Jim, our cement contractor, is on board and will be right behind the site construction with his piece of the project.

Our time frame - mid October?  Fingers crossed.

Fenway has been reunited with his friend Annie.  I had to trick him this morning and pack while he was still in bed with Paul.  As soon as he sees the cooler and duffles appear - the whining commences and does not stop!  Today - he had no clue and was quiet.  Until I pulled out the vacuum.  Then he knew we were leaving.  Ugh!  In the car he went to whine by himself.

Maddie was happy to see us - maybe.  This is her post zoomies on the lawn look.  She's giving me the look because I would not let her on my lap.

Thank you Isis for a great dinner.  Tofu stir fry.  Never had it before and I am now a fan!

The plan - tackle tasks with the kids, restart emptying closets here in Lincoln and my fave - skin check in the morning!
