National Act Dumb Day
Today was another short day where after fasting blood work, I puttered at Megan's while Paul worked on the red car. Watching Annie (dog) and Tallulah (cat) play hide and seek in the yard. Lunch with Donna, friend from Memorial and one of the only reasons I continued working at Women and Infants. A short nap, dinner and out shopping for random objects until the stores closed. And another day has disappeared!
Today is National Act Dumb Day. I immediately recalled how, when living in Providence and adopting Buddy from the pound I thought I could get away with not buying him a license. I had just paid $60 for the "free" adoption and they want money for registering him with the city. Nope!
It took about a month for them to come knocking on my door. I acted dumb. "Of course he has a license. It's on his collar." I knew it was his rabies tag but thought if I acted dumb he would move on. End result - I had 10 days to get his license.
