World Manta Day

Today is World Manta Day.  We have been to many aquariums through the years.  Touch tanks have always been a favorite!  In 2015 Mom, Megan, Maddy, Brooke (Maddy's friend) and I did a girls' trip to Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut.

Here's mom after touching a ray!

Brianna at the touch tank in Daytona 2023.

Today we started earlier than usual with the thought of a nap.  Paul was like the energizer bunny - kept going.  (I finally got a 20 minute nap at 5pm!)

The smaller trees are all down and now the bigger ones are next.  Not as easy!

First, a fishing pole to send the wire up the tree.

Then the ATV was hooked to the wire to pull (by me while Paul cut).

And then have the tree fall in the wrong direction!

Apparently the core was rotted causing the tree to choose its own fall direction.  Paul was able to successfully complete the fall without it landing on the wood shed.  (I had parked the car at the end of the driveway!)  It is now waiting for dispersal in the morning.  Ugh!

The plan - Sarge's Pub for trivia tonight!  Time to show how smart we can be!  Or not!
