Mingo Springs Trail & Bird Walk

With very little rain predicted today, Paul and I decided to head out for a hike.  But the rain started before we even left our road.  So we turned around and puttered through the morning and early afternoon.  By late afternoon, we had cabin fever.  We headed to the trail despite the sky spitting.

It was perfect!  Only one other person on the trail, lots of great scenery and dozens of deer.

                                                                Birdhouses

Rustling leaves blending into the path

                                                    Secure boardwalks across mushy areas

                                                                            Fairy houses

                                                    Enchanted forest trail

Fern beds for the plentiful deer

More fairy house (no fairies sighted though)

Plenty of deer

The rain thankfully never materialized and super glad we ventured out!

The plan - fingers crossed someone (Mike) shows up tomorrow to take our huge pine down.
