Phase 2 - Done!
The plan today was to start the painting of the house. The back side and maybe the well side. Do a batch of laundry and hang it out. Today's high low 60s and sun. Next week is forecasted to be cloudy, cooler and then days of rain. So, let's get it done.
My before picture taken just after I started. And I forgot we now have a nice new ladder after I took out sketchy ladder to use.Five hours later - the back of the house and deck is complete including the pain in the ass lattice work underneath three sides. No laundry could be hung out tough since I had to remove the line to paint.
Mike showed up to complete his piece of the site work! The French drains are in place and route any water towards the street side of the property. The site itself is ready for the concrete - "Alaskan slab" is what they are calling it.
Then we had a visit from Jim, concrete guy, despite being in the middle of a "hunting" weekend. Only we made another last minute decision that will delay the concrete. There is a huge pine tree at the end of our driveway, hovering over our septic system and now has had its roots beat up with all the site work. We decided to have Mike take it down before it dies or becomes a problem. Once the garage is erected there will be another obstacle to avoid in felling the tree. So please take it down.
But first Paul had to remove the birdhouses and the antique wheel Scott found in our woods. Then move a few other things we stored nearby. Now we wait. Hopefully the rain will hold off long enough for Mike to get it done.

The plan - re-attach the clothesline and maybe paint the remainder two sides of the house.
