Shed Faced
A very, very boring day that ended with a bang! With no site work being done (long weekend during hunting season = no work), I found it hard to be motivated.
Then Paul suggested going out to The Shed. We have been eyeing it for awhile now and it never seems to be open. We actually joked yesterday saying it was only open 1200 - 1215 on Sundays if the weather was sunny and there was no lake effect wind. But the website said open tonight. So we went.
A simple menu. Fine with me.I had pot pie while Paul had brisket. Yummy. Definite return.
Then I had to ask the waitress. There are dozens of dollar bills stapled to the walls and ceiling. Dozens. Apparently a Rangeley tradition to sign and staple a bill onto their walls and ceiling. So we did.
As soon as I saw the sunglasses though - I knew we were in for a treat. Many years ago when the kids were small, we would leave Megan in "charge" and head out for a drink. At Sarge's there was a band where the lead singer wore sunglasses. Yup - same guy! Love him and his choice of music! Tom Petty, Neil Young and Rolling Stones. What's not to love.
Great music, awesome people watching and a very surprising, uplifting night out in the town of Rangeley on Friday night! There were soooo many people there that many had to stand outside on their porch. No one seemed to mind though.
And when we arrived back at the house - packages from Amazon!!! My power cord (works great) and the anchor bolts for the garage. I am typing without stressing that my battery is going to run down and I will not be able to type fast enough.
