Spuddling in the Rain

This morning started gray, wet and cold.  It didn't help that I found the back door wide open.  Apparently I did not latch it tightly after Fenway's last trip outside and the wind opened it.  Thankfully (?) Fenway was still with Paul in bed and no strange animals entered the house.

After some coffee and a bit of cleaning, we headed to Farmington to pick up a few things at Walmart.  I don't know if it was because it was a Monday, or it is Maine or maybe just because - but the people at Walmart were friendly!  And courteous!  Not a bad ride either despite the weather.  Besides the few groceries, I have more art supplies!

Word of the day:  Etymology - where a word came from and its origins.

Pyjamaphile - A person who must put their PJs on the second they get home, otherwise they will never be comfy.  (Thinking of you Mom!)

Pyjama origin - Ottoman empire 13th century

Pyjamaphile - first found on Facebook January 2025

Spuddle - To work feebly and ineffectively, because your mind is elsewhere or you haven't quite woken up yet.  To be extremely busy whilst achieving absolutely nothing.

    Origin - Southwest England 1600s

I love words!

The plan - wait out the rain (next two days) and then start stalking Jim.
