Rangeley Views

I never tire of the view.

Driving down Dallas Hill Road towards the house.

Rangeley Lake as seen from Main Street bank parking lot.

Loon Lake Road heading towards the transfer station.

Heading back down Saddleback Mountain Road

When the sun is shining it just feels warmer.  I know it's really not but yet I was able to convince myself I didn't really need a coat or real shoes- a sweatshirt and crocs seemed fine.  It was fine for our trip to town but not working on the concrete pad!

Despite our best attempts, some of the bolts were not quite straight (some were blatantly heading in the wrong direction!).  Using the steel bar from the snowmobile trailer, Paul was able to bend them all into correct formation.  My job - put all the nuts on each bolt.

Our destination today - the dump and the hardware/lumber store.  A few last minute items for the build and an empty trash can in anticipation of a very hectic week.  We met up with Mike H in the bank parking lot loading the manlift before heading to our job site.  It finally is starting to feel like the finish line is closer and doable!  Maybe I should be calling it the starting line?

Both lifts are in the yard and ready for use!  Now we wait for the snow to arrive!   Only 3-4 inches predicted.  Easy enough to clear our site in time for the delivery Monday.

Our good deed for the day - pick up a hitchhiker.  Standing at the bottom of Dallas Hill Road with groceries he looked cold!  This "kid" had just landed a seasonal job at Saddleback Mountain making snow after completing the Appalachian trail from Georgia (April) to Maine!  Quite the feat.
