Tidying Up

A stunning morning.  Crisp, cold, bright and clear with no wind.  The beauty of the sun on the snow and the color of the sky - priceless.

We were bundled up and outside just as the sun was rising.  Thinking the crew was going to show, we had 6 inches of fresh powder snow to remove from the concrete pad.

With no sign of the crew (out plowing is our best guess),  we completed the few tasks that could be done with just ladders.

                                                                All the remaining roof strapping.

                                                    And the last support beam.

Our driveway was plowed just in time for our garage door delivery.  Thankfully the pieces came in separate bundles for easier lifting.

We unburied the remaining pieces of metal and moved them onto the concrete pad.  So few!  The framing for the man door and the garage door.  But now when it snows again, we will know exactly where they are!

The roof panels (foreground) and the remaining trim pieces for the corners and around the windows and doors (background) remain bundled outside.  Hopefully the roof panels will be installed and the wooden crate is unlikely to get lost in the snow.

And the last roll of strapping remains on a pallet on the concrete pad.

Fenway continues to do his business quickly and entertains us while bounding through the snow drifts.

And because we were ready for a break, we went to Sarges for dinner and drinks.

Nachos and pizza.  Why not?  Both taste great with Sam Winter Lager!

The plan - no plan.  Apparently the "boys" from our crew are sick.  So we wait.
