Battling Boredom

Static Electricity Day.  A popular balloon trick of rubbing the kids' hair and causing crazy hair, we performed frequently.  The only picture I could find with crazy electric static hair:

National Word Nerd Day.  I love words!  Today's word:

Fredagsmys - A Swedish tradition of spending Friday nights at home with family eating comfort food, playing games or watching TV.

Where are we tonight?  Home in Lincoln.  What was for dinner?  Turkey burgers, sweet potato fries and peas.  What is our activity?  Watching a comedy while Kevin and Isis organize their closet (and find some of our "stuff" we left behind that now needs to be sorted - ugh!).  We can definitely be considered to be practicing fredagsmys!

Fun facts:  A new word is added to the English Dictionary every two hours!  4,000 new words a year!

: Palindrome - a word that reads the same whether read forwards or backwards - kayak

: Pangram - a sentence that uses every letter of the alphabet - The five boxing wizards jump quickly.

Today was a bit of a struggle against boredom.  A little cleaning (vacuumed), a little laundry (dog blankets),  a little cooking (dinner), some picture editing (down to 43,000+), some reading, watching a documentary and enough yoga to be sore.  Tomorrow our to do list is a bit fuller (thankfully) and should keep us busy most of the day.
