Gas and Old Rocks

                                                         Views from Mom's back porch.

After a day of mundane tasks - food shopping, Walmart for a battery return (Paul had great service there - go figure!), banana bread, the start of sorting bags headed to Quiet Time, puppy duty next door  and dishes - we headed to Mom's for dinner.  Scrabble - a tie!  Does that even happen?  Cribbage - Mom kicked our butts.  Salad, salmon, rice and brussels sprouts - yummy!  And just like that - another sun has set!

National Pass Gas Day.  I am still amazed at the realm of "holidays" that exist.  And that someone thought up the word fart in 1632!  To send forth wind from the anus.  That they can travel up to 10 feet per second, almost 7 MPH!  These facts  and more are listed on the holiday page.  I just want to know who did the research?  (I am now hoping this questions comes up at a trivia night somewhere so I can answer it!)

Word of the day - furzkanone - fart cannon - a person who farts often and stinks.

It is also Old Rock Day.  Here are some really old rocks we have visited over the years.

                                                        Plymouth Rock

A couple of mountains in Colorado - surreal looking in their perfection!

New Brunswick's Hopewell Rocks at Bay of Fundy.

The plan - wrap up remaining loose ends before our departure early Tuesday morning.
