Vilano Beach

For tonight's sunset walk I chose Vilano Beach.  North of the St Augustine inlet, the beach is almost 2 miles long and extremely wide.  No charge for parking (or driving on the beach) and few people.

Across the ICW is the St Augustine skyline.

                                                                So wide!!!

Though we are still "on the hard", the day was successful.  Upon arriving at the marina, the electrician and his partner were on Quiet Time preparing the climb up the mast.  He changed out our nonfunctioning deck light for the new one but could not locate any issues with the wind instruments - the main reason for the climb.  He also checked out our rigging and it looks "good".

No issues located at the helm controls or the bottom of the mast (located between our freezer and couch).

Next step - a Ray Marine expert.  Paul called and left a message.  Meanwhile he futzed with the system, starting and restarting and trying master control.  OMG - it started working!  We will take the win!    (But we will keep the contact info just in case.)

The last water test - negative for lead.  Negative for everything!

I precooked dinner - chicken wings and dirty rice that can be reheated easily in the new hotel room.  Otherwise the day was slow and lazy.

The plan - pace ourselves for the last few items since we still have 1 1/2 days left on the hard.

Happy Birthday Papa!
